The Dark Emperador marble accepts well certain types of finishing, due to its breccial nature. The types of finishings we most recommend are:
Sand-blasted

Sand-blasted

This type of finishing has a thin corrugated appearance, showing a lighter colour of the Dark Emperador marble. Its surface is characterized by its thin salience and roughness.

Some common applications: flooring, coverings, stonework.

Polished

This is the type of finishing that most enhances the beautiful brown colour and veinage of the Dark Emperador marble. The surface is very shiny and smooth, highlighting the best of this stone.

Some common applications: flooring, kitchen countertops, fireplaces.

Honed

Honed

This type of finishing is plain and does not show any shine, in contrast with the polished one. The surface of the stone is velvety, revealing a lighter type of brown colour and less contrast.

Some common applications: exterior cladding, coverings.

Bush-hammered

This type of finishing gives the stone a very light brownish and white colour, with strong roughness. Its surface is strongly corrugated. It is commonly used for flooring with moderate use.
